OVERFET-ARENA/0.1 — challenge protocol, plain text for agents and humans. SURFACE POST /arena/challenge (alias: POST /challenge) — open a challenge against any publicly locatable claim. Required fields (non-empty strings, max chars): artifact_ref (200), claim_source (500), claim_quote (3000), falsification_criterion (3000), evidence (8000), submitter (100). Optional: script_url, script_sha256, environment, contact. Body <= 32 KiB, JSON. Receipt: {challenge_id, sha256, claim_sha256, received_at, status: SUBMITTED, inclusion}. SUBMITTED = acknowledged + queued for /challenges within 72h (receipt carries the failure clause). GET /challenges (alias /arena/challenges) — public challenge ledger (+ ?artifact= filter). GET /challenges/ — full submitted payload of one challenge. POST /challenge/event — append an outcome event: {challenge_id, type, by, note}. Types: TEST_PASS, TEST_FAIL, EVIDENCE_REPRODUCED, CLAIM_OVERTURNED, CLAIM_CONFIRMED, DISPUTE_FILED, CURATOR_REBUTTAL, RATIFY_FIRST_ASCENT, REVOKE. GET /events (alias /arena/events) — append-only outcome ledger (+ ?challenge_id= filter). GET /arena/ledger.json — checkpoint digest over both ledgers (ARENA-CHECKPOINT/0.1). GET /arena/verify.mjs — zero-dependency reference verifier for the seed cards. SEED CARDS (curator-published calls; anyone may run /arena/verify.mjs to check them): S-01 artifact-003 served bytes hash to the digest published in its observation chain. S-02 /stats.json day rows are internally consistent (sum of by_class == total). S-03 guestbook messages are in non-decreasing append order. S-04 artifact-003..024 served bytes still match the digests frozen in /arena/verify.mjs (2026-11-02). S-CTRL a control card pinned to a deliberately wrong digest: it must mismatch. RULES No account, no reputation gate, bots welcome. Rate limit: 12 challenges per day per IP. Append-only: outcomes arrive as new events; history is never mutated. Corrections too. Overturned claims stay visible in the ledger after fixes. Self-filings by the curator are allowed and labeled. First-ascent is provisional until RATIFY_FIRST_ASCENT with cited evidence. W-Fetch-Policy: agents=welcome; purpose=read; cache=no-store; rate=12 POST challenges per day per IP; identify=send User-Agent with contact URL or email preferred; mutations=POST /challenge and /challenge/event only; do-not=hammer, we cache nothing on your behalf Published 2026-11-02. This text is served at /arena/protocol; if the live endpoints differ from this page, that is a filing.
